Don't waste your Adwords dollar.

By: Patrick Carpen

You've heard the buzz about making money with Google Adwords. And, chances are, you've been pitched with the scams too.

Millions of dollars cycle through the Adwords system around the clock. And with every tick of the clock thousands of clicks burn millions of dollars from one bank account to the other. Google Adwords is so powerful because it is "targeted traffic" for your website (or affiliate website).

If money is being spent, then money is being made--since people are normally eager to spend money only when the prospect of making it back is in clear view or just around the corner. But who is really minting the money with Google Adwords? That is a complex question but it is safe to say that Google.com is on top of the game. Next follow highly experienced and informed internet marketers. And you can be sure there have been losers in the game. Don't be one of them!

In an arena such as the Google Adwords program, you are competing against the biggest brains around the world. Consequently, the cost per click for each keyword keeps soaring and many people advertising a pay per sale affiliate program seldom make a profit. Another factor is that surfers looking for a particular product, opportunity, or information will surf hundreds of websites and in the process click hundreds of ads before (if ever) buying anything.

So how exactly do you make a successful use of your valuable dollars on Adwords? The key to success is simple. And it can be spelled with thirteen letters... "Autoresponder". You read that right. If you have never used one before, that might sound like a frightening word. But like most software technology, it's quite simple to use and all it requires to learn is a little "poking around". You need to direct the people who click on your Adwords ad to a "lead capture page". That page should contain nothing but a form to capture the surfer's information. It may contain text such as "Yes, I would like access to the best and latest web design software". Then follows a field to enter the visitor's name and email. At the bottom of the page you should reassure your visitor that you will not spam or rent or sell his/her information.

When the visitor enters his/her information, he/she is taken to your website or affiliate website. If you visitor does not buy anything, (normally people buy only after they are presented with an offer several times), you may offer him/her a free newsletter subscription related to their interest, for example a web design tips ezine. If they accept, each email will contain a link to your product and other related product that you prospect might be interested in.

Does the sound of this complicated system frighten you? You will love it just as much once you get it up and running and beating and humming like a well oiled money machine.
